Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Celestron SkyScout Personal PlanetariumCustomer Review: Works As Advertised Summary: 5 Stars
Received my SkyScout last week, looks to work as advertised. Only minor complaint is there seems to be some bleed from the red input/output screen when looking through the device- tried turning down the brightness and this helped but not sure I should be seeing any red other than that guide lights through the view finder.
Customer Review: Excellent Product Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this since Christmas and it has been working without fail. It acquires every star and planet I aim it at. I'm constantly amazed it can find objects, even if the star is very close to another one. I use rechargeable batteries(maH)with no problems. Even after the most recent update, I'm having no issues.
Customer Review: Incredible! Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the best gadgets on the market today. It's easy to use and a lot of fun. All you do is point it at the night sky and focus on a star or heavenly body and the SkyScout tells you what you're looking at. If you're into star-gazing and knowing what you're looking at, this is for you!
Customer Review: Very Pleased Summary: 5 Stars
I could not get a GPS fix utill I installed the updates; after that, it
worked fine. The worst thing about this product is that now I want to
buy a telescope so I can see the double stars, nebulas, etc. that skyscout
shows me where they are but I can't see with the naked eye.
Customer Review: Superb Deal Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the SkyScout to interface with my Orion XT8 Dob. It performed perfectly, I was able to locate The Andromeda Galaxy, then use the XT8 to view it. "excellent" It has in my opinion out performed what I thought it could do, and I paid under $200.00 how can you beat that!
