I waited a couple months on order before getting mine but was amazed by it. I took it camping in Yosemite and learned so much. It took about a half an hour to really figure out how to work the thing. However, once it was going, I learned a lifetime of astronomy in an hour. I have brought it out on a number of occasions and everyone is always blown away.Customer Review: get one

This is an amazing gadget. When I first tried it, the GPS didn't work. I manually entered the coordinates and it worked beautifully. Now, after several weeks, everything works perfectly and automatically. If it were lost or stolen, I'd get another. I never upgraded the software .... Don't see the need and some reviewers have had problems (who knows why).Customer Review: My husband loves it!

I gave this as a gift to my husband for Xmas 2007. He loves it. He has always been fascinated with astronomy and telescopes, but I wasn't able to afford a telescope and didn't really know what to look for in one, so this seemed like a good start. He really enjoys using it and shows me all kinds of things that we can now identify in the night sky!Customer Review: We love it!

Very happy with the SkyScout. Worked perfectly out of the box, easy to use, lightweight and sturdy. Was a huge hit with the grandkids. It was helpful to have a simple star chart with us as well, useful in finding the entire constellation once a single star was identified. I had initially intended to purchase a MySky, but after reading so many negative online reviews I was pointed to the SkyScout - & we love it! Not only did it make the perfect birthday gift for hubby (who had no idea such a cool toy existed) but we've had fun as a whole family. Easy to use and set up - we haven't experienced one hitch.
