Customer Review: Not as useful as thought...

I thought this would be much more useful. On my Celestron CG-5 mount it is an acrobatic act to get down to actually get a good look through the polar finder.
Previously I just looked through the hole in the mount a placed Polaris dead center without the help of a finder-scope and then added three or four calibration stars which gave me a good enough alignment for up to one minute exposures... Using the polar-scope now I don't bother turning it to capture the Big Dipper as the markings is very hard to spot anyway, I just use it as a "finder-scope" to center Polaris and do what I did prior to owning it... Although now I can cope with only two calibration stars...
If you need a more accurate alignment than the calibration stars functions offers you will need to go with drift align anyway and then you don't need this at all...
Not worth the money...
