I was so excited to see a low cost telescope for a beginner. Especially something that had such positive reviews from Sky and Telescope. After it arrived, I had a hard time with it from the word 'go'. Couldn't even focus on the moon. Since then, I purchased a 'real scope'...Orion SkyQuest XT 4.5; which had decent eyepieces, a working finderscope and can actually see something other than shadows.
