Description of Celestron C8 SGT StarBright XLT ® Advanced Computerized Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope

Celestron has paired its vaunted 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain optics with the Advanced series computerized GoTo mount and NexStar hand controller, producing a telescope that will take you as far as you want to go in the hobby of amateur astronomy. Equipped with the NexStar computerized control system, the C8 S-GT automatically slews to any of 40,000+ celestial objects, then tracks it while you observe. The heavy-duty equatorial mount has ultra-sturdy 2" stainless steel legs and responsive dual-axis motors. It also has an autoguider port for astrophotography. This telescope features StarBright XLT enhanced optical coatings. Standard accessories include a 25mm Plossl Eyepiece (81x), 6x30 finder scope, star diagonal (1.25"), and TheSky Level I CD-ROM. Two-year limited warranty.
