Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Celestron 93327 X-Cel Extra-low Dispersion 2 x 1.25 Barlow LensCustomer Review: Great barlow lens Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this item to upgrade from a generic barlow lens. To test it out, i gave it a good few hours on Saturn. Very crisp, sharp edges, and good color over the entire viewing area. The only downside was that plastic cap that covers the upper opening doesn't really fit right and had to tighten the thumbscrews more than usual to keep it from popping back out. A handy lens that gives you more viewing options with your current eyepieces.
Description of Celestron 93327 X-Cel Extra-low Dispersion 2 x 1.25 Barlow LensBarlow lenses offer an easy, economical way to increase the magnification range of your eyepieces. A Barlow lens doubles the magnifying power of your eyepiece by doubling its effective focal length. For example, an 18mm eyepiece used with a 2x Barlow lens would have the magnifying power of a 9mm eyepiece. It's like having two eyepieces in one! If you're looking for an affordable way to achieve high-power viewing of the moon and planets, double stars and even close-up views of terrestrial subjects, a Barlow lens is the answer. Barlow lenses mount into either your telescope's focuser or visual back The Celestron 93327 X-Cel Extra-low Dispersion 2x 1.25 inch Barlow lens extends the focal length of your scope by factor of two. This lens is very useful for short focal length scopes and planetary imaging, and provides you with an affordable way to achieve high-power viewing of the moon and planets, double stars and even close-up views of terrestrial subjects. The Celestron 92227 features cutting edge optics with extra low dispersion glass that provides excellent color correction and razor sharp images for serious nature and bird watchers. Barlow lenses mount into either your telescope's focuser or visual back.
